As another has noted brewing loose tea in this pot will result in a bit of leaves getting into your teacupmug if that bothers you perhaps you would prefer a largermouthed pot as this pots mouth will not accommodate an infuserfilter but i personally find infusers to be bothersome as they prevent covered steeping require keeping the pot in the kitchen until steeping is finished so the infuser can be removed and the lid placed and are just another thing to wash

So a tea leaf or two will pour out into the cup if i try to get every drop out of the teapot
