Pros & Cons
Pros
Simple and accurate. Calibrated and working in seconds. It has been a life saver for us. Only criticism is the instructions were long winded and difficult to follow.
Accurately located studs under plasterboard as well as both ferrous and non-ferrous metal. The stud finder seems to work ok. No problem in finding studs/beams in plasterboard walls.
Cons
Mine appears to be useless! Constantly shows 8% detection when turned on. No longer detects accurately. A magnet does a better job finding stud fixings.

One minute it finds a joist or something and then it cannot find it again in the exact same spot

I had keep repeating the search and changing the orientation of the detector to build up a pattern of results

You need to move the detector very slowly to homein on the exact joist location and achieve a positive result

Something to be aware of which initially caught me out the detector defaults to detecting metal as opposed to wood each time you switch it on
