Pros
The pump lifts a tremendous amount of water with each up and down cycle, meaning fewer pump movements are necessary. Bought this just to clear the water from our water meter. A high efficiency pumping action that expels water quickly from a kayak.
Cons
There’s a rubber non return valve which is supposed to stop the water from going back out the inlet. Under pressure it just blows out the bottom rendering the pump useless.

Despite sticking to the task admirably the pump did have to be emptied of stones every couple of minutes to prevent it turning into a heavy yellow maraca

The hose came folded and has a permanent kink

I have to hold the hose in place whilst pumping otherwise it blows off

It needs to be used with care but when doing so it shifts large quantities of water quickly
