The base on it is like a christmas light and it actually took for christmas time to come around before i could rustle up something from the basement for it to fit

It is now in one of those candle lights that is glowing brightly near the fireplace

That being said so far this light has not had any of the flickering issues that some other reviewers have mentioned

Its too soon for me evaluate this bulb as to that but i will certainly be back to update this review should it dye or start to flicker in what i consider an unreasonable amount of time

Just make sure you want something a little more than what you may be used to out of 7 watts and if you are thinking of using this in a fixture that requires more than one that it wont sit well with regular bulbs as to its intensity

Followup two months of use later in a small desk lamp and the bulb is failing it has started strobing and flickering all the time very disappointing
