Ever wanted to burn retnas from most resonable distances, this is for you. Especially using this to illuminate a wide area. Brightness, temperature of light is optimal for my requirement.

Cons

Only draws 0. W, nowhere close to the advertised 100w. Will update rating if problem is solved. It's a functional chip, but it doesn't get nearly as bright as it is advertised to.

I drilled a hole in the case mounted the ledlensreflector a switch for the led and a switch for a cooling fan that is not really needed since the heat sink provides more than enough cooling

Instead jb welded the fins of the heat sink to the case and after cured screwed the lens and reflector onto the led to hold everything in place

Hot glued 2 8v batteries and wired in series to get 16v in to the step up converter

The batteries happened to have pig tails for charging in place which works great

I hooked multimeter probes to the output of the converter and adjusted the potentiometer up to where it reads 36v out to the led
