Cast iron is time tested and durable. Don't rush it. My only complaint is the packing.

Patients for getting it up to temp. There is a learning curve, but the good part is you can start low and increase temp. The griddle retains and distributes heat evenly for an extended period.

Cons

This pan has a raised spot and a pit on the cooking surface. Tried to wash the pan using paper towel. Now it sticks all food in the same spot no matter how many times i have oiled it.

Just a worthless piece of cast iron in the house to take up space. I am disappointed that a flawed product got pass quality control from lodge. Like maybe an amazon electric crepe grill?
