Because of the way lock laces are designed, they have much more give than any shoestring can. I wish all shoes just came with them by default. The written instructions say to cut the laces three inches below the lock with your foot inside the shoe.

Cons

After a week of use my left shoe end keeps on popping out from under my bottom shoe lace secure area. They just make it to the end of the shoe, with no wiggle room.

Not happy with this standalone product though. Its not a lego set. Putting the clip on the bottom is way too hard.

Very easy to install and use i love them

The first set we bought about 8 years ago has outlasted the shoes

Using these stopped that practice and sliding my shoes on and off with little to no adjustment is amazing
