Light compact single mode onoff feels pretty well made and probably not really waterproof no orings but most likely water resistant based on the deeper threading than some lights like this though most flashlight are resistant to water in some degree

There are other single aa flashlights you can get that have 5 times the power or more but you could also pay about 5 times the price or moreless depending on a number of factors

Look for ultracell in dark blue and purple logo on the batteries they are the high quality ones out of china

Note nizn bad point is poor shelf life if completely unused for months however if you turn on the light every 47 days for just 10 seconds
