Watch quail hatching videos by chris at “slightly rednecked’ on youtube for good tips for hatching success. I candle my eggs after seven days and all eggs had signs of growth.
Holds temp and humidity. Temperature gage seems right on and keeps temperature well.
Cons
The first one leaks all over the bottom and the digital reader stopped working. Very disappointed to have wasted my money on both of these. Cough, c cough, the smell burnt sinuses and lungs.
Temperature fluctuated from 72 to 108 and fried my eggs. Heat distribution is horrible and inaccurate. Not only is it completely inaccurate in both the temp and the humidity readings on the unit.

When you start this i would suggest having a couple different brand hygrometers in the incubator for accurate temp and humidity readings
