Pros & Cons
Pros
Wrap the threads in teflon tape for a better seal (see pic) safety used an old piece of romex. Drill holes in box for hoses and cord. Same with leftover drain & output hoses.
Replaced my old one after 20 year's use. Works like a charm. Easy to install.
Noisier and more powerful than previous. For me, the noise level is probably worth having fewer clogging problems. This unit is quieter and seems more efficient.
Cons
The instructions are so bad, they are disrespectful to the customer. My only choice is to try to epoxy the whole thing to get it to work.
Inside of the pump was heavily corroded. I suspect the float switch was the possible source of malfunction. I need to replace this pump now and hope to find something that will not turn to rust.
For two of these to go bad in only a little over a year's time is simply unacceptable. Consider buying a spare unit in about 6 months. They all fail within 12-18 months.

Very happy with the product worked well all summer
I like the feature with the high water level that could be wired up to stop the compressor if the pump becomes blocked or fails
Product runs year round because of heat pump
Price
Price was very reasonable and i was able to install myself

But the switch itself is a dualthrow switch with slideon blade connectors so if like me your plan is for a normallyopen switch to supply battery current to a buzzer when closed just move the wire thats on the normallyclosed switch terminal to the normallyopen one
