This is the novel that first season was based on. I am amused with the reviews of the book that essentially say “not exactly like the mini-series’. I love the characters and the plot is great.

Not up to the level of author's earlier novels. Most of the action is mired in excruciating detail. No character development.

It’s so disappointing when they don’t follow the original story especially when the author has put so much time and effort into their work only to have it turned into a twodimensional lecture
