Pros & Cons
Pros
This liquitex heavy body acrylic is nearly odorless, in a good sized tube, and lasts a long time. Heavy body paints are great for paintings with texture or with palette knife. The paint can be thinned if necessary for any other application.
All in all, i think that liquitex is the winner in acrylic paints. Paint goes on good. Great on wood. White is always needed so glad to have this option.
Great paint, with nice opacity and pigmentation. Also blends well with other colors (not necessarily liquitex colors) drying time is average, and the heavy body leaves excellent texture. This titanium white is excellent and quite opaque and has strong... Read More
I prefer acrylics for coverage, texturizing and ease of cleanup. Liquitex is a well-respected brand. Also makes an excellent spare.
The paint is sooooo smooth! I love how creamy the paint is. Consistency is smooth and easy to work with. Great coverage on the canvas.
Cons
This and the other liquitex colors i bought are lumpy. There are small 1/16th inch diameter lumps in the paint and they show on the canvas making an unfortunate appearance.
Highlights
Quality
I am in love with the liquitex heavy body paints
No issues with the product or the seller
Price
The price was also worth the amount of paint we received
Because of its opacity and economical price i often use it instead of gesso to prepare my canvas
Packaging/appearance
Either way mostly pleased will just have to find a way to un glob the paint
I happily use liquitex golden and matisse professional heavy body paint but one advantage with liquitex is its packaging
I have been using the liquitex basics which is definitely not as full bodied but received this tube to test
Competitiveness
This heavy body helps give more texture and is heavier than the normal liquitex paints
Got this last week and added it to all my other liquitex paints
Havent had time to use much of it yet i am having a hard time seeing much of a difference between the top brands and the other ... Read More
On some of the competing brands i have actually had to use pliers to get the caps unstuck
