This was waterproof until it went through our dryer which has only medium or high heat options it does not have a low heat or no heat option

The heat caused the waterproof layer to stick to itself which then caused holes in the waterproofing and leakage through into my toddlers mattress

Washed according to instructions and low heat was still too much because it ended up melting together

When i pulled it apart you could basically see through the mattress cover in places
