I use it to connect a dell ps2 keyboard and microsoft trackball mouse which are both about 10 years old to a few new machines via a linksys ps2kvm4 proconnect 4port compact kvm switch ps2 which is also about 10 years old

In other usb to ps2 converters that i have used the mouse often becomes unresponsive and the usb adaptor needs to be unplugged at the pc end and reinserted which gets annoying after a while
