An unsurprisingly fantastic series from butler. Butler breaks the mold of most science fiction by by portraying the aliens as the good guys and the humans as the baddies. In awe of octavia butler's mind.
I love how it speaks to what is happening now and our world. Futuristic, yet very relatable with/in today’s climate.

The author never seems to really get that the pacifistic aliens for whom violence is apparently unthinkable are literally in the process of slowly eating the planet. Humans come off as violent rapists, and the alien species comes off as gentle rapists... Read More
