You can use just the last inch of the bar and hold it just above your tinder and you will get flame in less than 5 strikes and a fire in no time if youve prepared your materials

I was taught as a kid to prepare the fire so that it could be lit with one match and if that failed to take it apart and put it back together right

Well if you just strike once look strike again look it will not work

Com ones are softer and i found you have to strike them much faster otherwise you just throw shavings everywhere

After the coating is scraped off 12 strokes it throws off enough spark to confuse the neighbor kid into thinking it was a sparkler
