The torchiere is perfect for increasing ambient lighting. The top lamp is very soft and not overly bright. The dual lamp configuration is very versatile - use it for room and table surface illumination.

It looks nice, it is sturdy, and it is easy to put together. Metal parts seem to be machined well. Easy to assemble.

Cons

Could not be more displeased with this purchase. It is very cheaply made. Cheap piece of garbage. This is not right.

One is an electrician who couldn't even re-wire the trimmed cord to the socket. Could not pull the wires through the stem, as required for attaching the top lamp.
