Because the newer iphone life proof cases have a piece of plastic holding the headphone jack port plug when its unscrewed that does get in the way a little bit when trying to snap your phone in

You can see the plastics that holds the phone but there is a 1438 padding below it that is great for comfort but your phone stands off your arm by about a half inch plus the thickness of the phone
