The item is relatively flimsy. Maybe a strainer to keep large pieces out of the inlet? It’s cheap plastic with inadequate tape to hold the pump to the “brick”.

Took a bit to figure out and i had to zip tie the pump to the stand

My guess is most if not all of the negative reviews were a result of trying to adhere the platform to the bottom of the pump when the pump was wet or dirty

The adhesive is very sticky just make sure the bottom of your pump is clean and dry
