Havent had a situation where i dropped it yet so dont know how effective the overhang for the screen is but if a corner is coming off as i take it out of my pocket and it is dropped it could theoretically be pretty bad

It is convenience to un clock the phone with your finger from the back

The lip of the case does roll over the top of the screen so it doesnt rest on the screen if you lay it face down
