It does expand the dimensions by about 14 but i suppose that is so it will protect the phone in case you drop it

The down side is just like other users said that it is not designed to give you front screen protection so you do need to watch out to not let your cell phone drop on the screen side

Fits wifes new lg g4 well although as noted by other reviewers it at best is a decorative cover that has no edges to protect the screen from drops

But it is quite attractive so as long as one adds one of the included screen protectors when installing it can also protect the screen
