    I bought this to replace the magnet on my kenmore washing machine as the magnet on it had broken (one of the tabs to hold it in place broke off).

    I did use the original spring from my washer when i replaced the part since there was nothing wrong with it.

    Seems that the little plastic button was jamming inside the door, and so it wouldn't extend and keep the door in place like it should.
