This was to replace my original 55 lg 4k telly that has worked fine for about 6 years but due to being one of the first 4k lg tellys had not many of the features this one has the tv comes with standard settings pre installed by lg

For me i use the preset hdr picture setting for most use without having to change or even tweak anything on this setting the telly runs rings around my old lg

The only not so great thing is the way local dimming is implemented it has three areas of backlight and they turn up and down based on what youre watching so it your brightness is high all you see is a stupid strip of light behind bright areas and the rest is dark which doesnt look very smooth but thats such a small thing for the over all experience and it happens only in especific scenarios like if a loading screen for a game is black and there is a white loading icon on the corner the whole corner will be bright vertically not just the loading icon

Enabled the lg thin q basic app on my alexa and now i can control the tv without the remote and even turn it on and off without the need for the remote
