Pros & Cons
Pros
The flakes are so flavorful. They are also so fresh. I wish it was made in the us as a personal preference especially since the usda organic uses a third party verification for products sourced outside the us. I like that it is organic too.
Cons
Texture of this product is like coconut sawdust. Inaccurate product description. This is desiccated or dehydrated shredded coconut. It states flaked, its not.
Highlights
Quality
Good product depending on how you want to use it
Quality of shavings is great though they are smaller than expected which made them hard to eat in homemade trail mix
Price
Its getting more and more expensive now so any time i can find a good price ill go for it as it holds well in the refrigerator

Even organic brands have carrageenan in them and i believe that is why they leave a yucky film on my tongue all day

Coconut is kinda sweet in itself i have no idea why they load it with sugar
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Well i suppose that is inevitable because they need to dry the coconut meat in order to preserve it

Also obviously these will tend to be more dry than those shredded finely because finely shredded flakes will have more surface in contact with moisture from other foods or your mouth if one eats them alone and thus will absorb more moisture than large flakes
