Pros

This instant yeast works great in my bread maker when making high sugar content. Sweet bread results are consistent from loaf to loaf. Commercial wines have been treated with potassium metabisulfite or potassium sorbate to kill the yeast.

Cons

But most annoying is the gold pack shipped was relatively old stock, already14 months since manufacturing date.

It is very inconvenient to receive this preety much open. Never again, sad when expired yeast of another brand out performs a brand new package of fresh yeast. If you're considering this for pizza crust, don't.

We never had a failed batch and we made about 10k rolls per week

Then for about six months once a week it would come out of the fridge and get heated up in the hot sun as we moved around different hotels

I purchased this yeast as the price was great

And always keep an eye on the price changing

I purchased a 1 bag of this safinstant yeast from amazon in 220

And its even more expensive to waste a whole loaf worth of ingredients that dont bread up because of ineffective yeast

Glad i ordered it timely shipping for my 1st bread loaf

Packaging/appearance

Place in a well sealed container and keep in the frig

We opened the packet now more than a year later and it was great yeast

I was issued a refund and immediately placed another order and crossed my fingers that the packaging would survive the journey to my house

Package comes vacuum sealed so i’m expecting this to last just as long

Competitiveness

Later in the pandemic did find different yeast at walmart and it did not compare

I bought both the gold label and red label safinstant and won’t ever go back to those others

Ive used the red and platinum as well and they were also excellent but ive never done a headtohead
