Pros
The fujifilm x100v is the only camera with a lever in the middle. Because it is hinged it allows me better access to the scroll wheels and shutter speed. It’s hinged so you can move it easily to get to the camera controls.
Cons
Main complaint is that the grip doesn't feel very secure within the hot shoe mount. I find myself constantly pressing on the grip so it'll sit flush against the bracket. Without some sort of positive locking mechanism, things rip off quickly. Perhaps ... Read More

The first one was tight all the others were ‘loose’ as other have mentioned

I cut a piece of gaffers tape just a pit larger than the rubber on the grip that goes in the shoe mount

Make sure the tape covers the rubber and extends over to the metal a bit

I pulled the grip out 24 hours later and the tape was in tact

If it does break when taking it off it will be easy to get out because it is gaffers tape

I never use the hot shoe anyway on the x100

Edit i took the thumb grip off the camera after a week no damage to the gaffers tape
