Pros

Good price for a specialty application. Slick, modern design and looks very nice. Chassis is galvanized and the hardware stainless.

The finish on the outlet is slightly textured for a mat finish. When they say it's sized to give a little more room for the wires in the box, they mean it. I like this a lot more than the inexpensive plugs at lowe’s or home depot.

Installation is a breeze with little holes you can insert a 5mm of stripped wire into and then lock the wire in place. Easy install with side posts, (don't use those darned push-in connections on the back). Reasonable quality/price, and easy installat...  Read More

The taymac has a hidden tamper-resistant shutter that helps prevent electric shock. It is also lockable, to prevent busy hands from getting in. I like the little black slides that dd protection.

Quality

For a do-it-yourself individual, this is an excellent product.

Positive Review

I love the looks of their outlets, and this one is right there with the rest of their lineup.

Positive Review

While price on this outlet seems a touch high, the quality appears good.

Neutral Review

I liked the quality terminals that were easy to slip wire around, and it has push-in back wiring if that's your thing.

Price

I like this a lot more than the inexpensive plugs at lowe’s or home depot, and the price really isn’t any different.

Neutral Review

You can find some that cost around $3.

We had an outlet on our patio that just wasn't working, and we didn't really want to hire an electrician without testing to see if it was just an outlet that had gone bad.

This outlet saved us a hundred bucks or so, and took no time at all to install.
