The mini figs are very cool to me. My sister likes mia. The gold snake chain weapon is unlike any lego i've ever seen.

Easy to assemble. Sturdy pieces, easy to put together (caveat, my son builds a lot of legos so he knows what goes where, may seem a bit harder for a new builder)!

The storm fighter makes a great alien for your spaceship sets. Only downside is it is hard to control the wings that can open and close. When you push a switch forward, the wings swing out and reveal golden blades.

It's well under the ten bucks per 100 piece value ration. It's a good sized build for a child coming from ~200 piece sets.

Cons

It is better to spend his time on installation rather than spending time on internet and tablet games.
