Upon installing this it totally stopped the water hammering and didnt leak at all

So far it does leak and the sump pump drains the sump to the depth set ans stops

The only problem is that the water hammer bang when the sump stopped pumping could be heard in the room above the cellar

We bought this as a backup to the original that we had in place and working well until the sump itself failed in which case they had to replace the check valve at the same time and went with zoeller for everything that time around
