In truth despite the good descriptors given i had no idea how this would function because its got such an unusual design with the way that the lights work and how the lenses superimpose over each other in the closed position

The top light on the black side is pretty bright which is great for a wider area facing yourself back lighting but it kind of gets into your eyes if youre trying to work from that side which means youre using the light and not the magnifier under it

The light that is in use when its open as shown in the primary picture seems to be less bright and more diffused by the slight cloudiness of the covering over it and thats probably enhanced because it is out in the tip of the light facing aside the magnifier and not toward the work that you want to do with it

You might want to tie something to it or make something to have it hang around your neck to use the light and magnifier on things together
