Light output from the lastar is considerably more than the ikea lamp. I use a cpap and it fits on my night table with the lamp perfectly.
It’s sturdy and eliminates my work area nicely. It is quite elegant and the neck very slim so you want to be careful not to move it up and down relentlessly.

Which is an led that is on the side of the base

Hit the night light tap the timer and you have a dim led on the side of the base that shuts off after an hour
