The porch has a wall mounted light fixture with an e27 socket and a fixed glass enclosure so any motion sensor apparatus that i got would have to fit inside the fixture

All i had to do was screw it into the socket and it automatically turned on when it sensed motion after sundown the manufacturer lists the detection range as 1014 feet
