This sat in the box for while. I didn't get around to using it for the first time until today. And it doesn't work at all. It starts up and goes directly to a green screen where it stays. Can't access menu or do anything at all. I'm about done buying electronics on Amazon. My record is horrible. Close to half my electric purchases either don't work at all or are super low quality or have some ridiculous design flaw. I think it's back to Best Buy for electronics for now. For the money, it's okay. The most annoying thing is that it doesn't record on a loop -- that is, it doesn't fill the card and then start writing over oldest files first. Instead, when the card is full, it stops recording and displays an error message saying the card is full. Guess when that happens? Yep -- when you're doing 80 MPH on the highway and don't dare risk a distraction. To correct the situation, you need to go through the menu to the Format option to wipe the card and start over. The card lasts me about 10 hours of record time before it gets full. But I record without sound.  Read Less
