Pieces fit so tight it takes a lot of strength to snap together or take apart. Takes an adult to turn the crank to move the configuration that’s been made. This item, though colourful, is too difficult for a three year old to manage.

My main complaint is how hard it is to connect and take apart the extenders

Seriously i have a hard time sometimes let alone a tot they should have made them a little less stiff

My kids were intrigued right away by the colours and the cool feature that you could make the gears spin but the pieces are quite hard to snap together and you have to have great motor skills to fit each gear on the circle peg on the green board

It is probably great as a one on one activity or for parents to do with their children but it isnt really an independent toy
