Pros & Cons
Pros
It seems sturdy and the cats love it. The fabric seems thick enough to hold up for a while. The covering stands up very well to my cat's vigorous scratching. It is very sturdy.
This is a great scratcher - it seems sturdy and will stand up to a lot of use. We have a 2 yo siamese who, since a kitten, used our berber carpet on the basement steps to sharpen.
Cons
The carpeted section feels like it is cardboard underneath. They prefer a rougher texture for scratching.
Highlights
Quality
That is my only knock against the product though
The fact that this item passed the malcolm test means its definitely a great product
My bengal refused to use a scratcher with the cardboard
Good quality now if the cats would only use it
