But as this bulb specifically calls out being lutron compatible i will chalk it up to some very odd wiring in a very old house

Also with it being lower and visible means that its reachable by a couple of kids but i left it on for hours and it was not the least but hot

First i ordered two twopacks of bulbs and one of the four bulbs was dead on arrival

The return and exchange was simple

With all four of the bulbs wired in the same circuit with the dimmer switch they would glow to a very low dim when i turned on the switch

The dimmer wouldn’t change the brightness of the bulbs at all

If i turned it off the bulbs would remain on with the faintest of glow
