Pros

I use the anti-rattle pin and it holds the rack solidly in place. Although it does come with a hitch tightener, i also use a clamp on one as i do on all my hithes. A strap is included for each wheel of both bikes.

It is very sturdy on the vehicle and it's a breeze to mount and dismount the bikes. That adds to the sturdiness, but it is not light when moving and storing. I have no problems with either mountain, road or townie bicycles.

I like the rack alot and i hope it works well. Works great and is very secure. Good adaptability, great product.

Cons

No matter how tight i tighten the nut on the hook it still loosens. There is no way any qa was done at the factory. Missing bolt for spring loaded handle and nothing about putting it together on instructions.

The rated capacity is 150#, my bikes are 59# each, so well under capacity. The other problem is our destination was on a dirt road so the caused lots of vibration on the rack causing more loosing of the nylon bolts and more rocking back and forth. It’... Read More

So far i am pleased with this rack considering its relatively low price

Originally my husband purchased without my knowledge a thule platform rack from the trek store which was almost 800

I’m not going to lie i purchased this because of the price and i assumed it would be an inferior product

I am keeping it it is good for the price

Was worried when the boxes arrived about assembly 3 boxes but watching the manufacturer video it installed quickly

Packaging/appearance

It was definitely worth the gamble because this thing showed up in excellent packaging

All the parts and hardware were neatly packed with the instruction manual

Competitiveness

I have no complaints at all with this rack and definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a cheaper alternative to a trek platform rack

It is almost identical to the thule platform rack we originally had but much cheaper

I had looked at an almost identical one at a bike store for double the price

Im sure there are better racks out there but not at this price
