I have used adaptors in the past with little more than 10 to 12 inches of extension on them which tethers any phones or tablets very close to the chargermaking it unusable yes they charge but you cannot use them on the go

This fitted snuggly into my car with no wobbling or disconnecting which has been a problem in the past merrily thinking you were charging away until you finish your journey and see that the charger has bounced out whilst driving

After using it for a few weeks i have found that the 12v plug will hold itself the car’s socket well which is important as you may find yourself removing leads from it regularly other adapters have pulled out instead of unplugging the usb lead which can become very tiresome

The device doesnt stick out too far and the main housing feels solid
