While my hat is off to the original innovators their product is ridiculously overpriced for the function

The biggest reason is the other one you need a coin or a allen wrench to secure the camera to it tightly

One difference i note is the mounting plate on this one is slightly smaller it is square where theirs is rectangular

So far i like the square one better because the rectangular one blocks access to my battery door and sd card then out comes the wrench if i can remember where to put it to dismount the plate from the door
