Pros & Cons
Pros
Silicone mats reduce radiant heat emanating from cast iron cookware. Works very well with my cast iron skillet and my dutch oven. Having the pot centered on the mag element is important to effectiveness.
Cons
These pads look like a good idea and are well made, but there are radial ribs on both sides of the pad that make the pad too thick. These are worthless to me.
The pad is too thick and the magnetic field is not as strong as when the pan is sitting directly on the cooktop. Didn't work on my ge profile induction range.
Highlights
Quality
Overall im super happy with this product
Its nice looking prevents sliding and works on all my pots with the exception of my smallest saucepot
Pots and pans slide easily on a glass surface which is eliminated with the mat
The mat turned brown along with the stain it left on my cooktop
Packaging/appearance
It collects any splatters or spills and protects the cooktop from scratches from the pot
Get it out of the drawer throw it on and go for it

My suspicion is that they put it on a radiant cooktop expecting it to withstand direct heat

If you turn the stove on with no pot and it gets hot you do not have an induction
