Pros

Lazarro curved soprano sax is available in different colors and i chose the 320-bk - black/gold model. I consider myself an amateur/beginner as i only play the sax in my living room two to three times a week for enjoyment.

The tone is wonderful, very smooth and sweet, and a little nasal. The upper range is a little shrill, but that comes with being a soprano. Intonation is consistant up and down the scale. With the curved bell the shrill harmonics a dampened and it real...  Read More

After 1000 miles of bicycling, nothing loose, works like new.

The horn has a bright responsive tone and is very powerfull. Despite the quality of the pads, the horn plays well from bottom to top, with good intonation, although above high d is a little fussy.

The only issue is that it can be a little pitchy but nothing a tuner can't help. I like tone quality, easy * for playing scales, and it stays in tune. Overall, it's a great instrument for the price and i definitely recommend it.

Price

The price was right for my intention of occasionally using it as a hobby along with my alto sax

Yanagisawa is a very good company for saxophones both for jazz and classical playing

Packaging/appearance

It played great right out of the box no problems with any notes

Played pretty much perfectly right out of the box

Competitiveness

Its a teriffic sax for the money it goes for and just a few little modifications made it a very smooth easy playing horn that is in tune

The case resembles the original protech cases

I switched out the mouthpiece to a vandoren s7and legere 2

Being a noname horn i figured it may be difficult to get pads for and in any case i wouldnt want to put it in the shop and pay

Most products you buy don’t come with accessories one price perfect for beginners

Intonation is iffy so don’t expect yamaha or yanagisawa precision and you should be very happy with the sax for the money

The mouthpiece reeds and ligature it comes with arent good so i bought some new accessories including a neckstrap that doesnt burn your neck

Before buying this sax there are a few things you should know

The horn plays very very flat out of the box

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Ive been a working saxophone player for close to 30 years and to get this horn in tune i had to cut 13 from the bottom of the neck cork off in order to get my mouthpiece far enough down the neck to a place i can tune the rest with my embouchure

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I cant really recommend this horn for a beginner wanting to learn sax for the first time mainly because you need to already have a decedent ear and embouchure to play the horn in tune through the different octaves

The mouthpiece and reeds it comes with are disposable so keep that in mind
