Pros & Cons
Pros
The only significant drawback i found is in the area of intonation, which is not a huge surprise. This horn looks great and sounds great, even with the stock mouthpiece and ligature. Still a great horn and have yet take it to the shop for repairs.
The lazarro curved soprano sax is available in different colors. I consider myself an amateur/beginner as i only play the sax in my living room two to three times a week for enjoyment.
Plays great and mostly in tune, but sopranos are always a beast to play in tune! Overall, the sound and quality of this instrument are very surprising, and i'm very happy i got it. The only issue is that it can be a little pitchy but nothing a tuner c... Read More
After 1000 miles of bicycling, nothing loose, works like new. Cover the neck and octave key with blue painters tape so they don't get scratched.
For an inexpensive soprano this is pretty good. Not a throwaway. Bought this on ebay to avoid mn tax.
Cons
The sound however seems a bit hollow or tin like, not very warm. Missing mouthpiece. Had to push the mouthpiece all the way past the neck (*) limit. It plays notes, but the intonation is awful!

Price
The price was right for my intention of occasionally using it as a hobby along with my alto sax
Yanagisawa is a very good company for saxophones both for jazz and classical playing
Packaging/appearance
It played great right out of the box no problems with any notes
If you just want to play around with curved soprano it plays well enough to have fun with right out of the box
Competitiveness
Its a teriffic sax for the money it goes for and just a few little modifications made it a very smooth easy playing horn that is in tune
Its worth noting that this horn has taken a beating
I switched out the mouthpiece to a vandoren s7and legere 2

Ive been a working saxophone player for close to 30 years and to get this horn in tune i had to cut 13 from the bottom of the neck cork off in order to get my mouthpiece far enough down the neck to a place i can tune the rest with my embouchure
