    I would be the first to agree that regularly colourisation detracts from films

    In fact on other laurel and hardy releases it looks like theyve let a child loose with crayons on the film

    However this film is different stan laurel always regretted this wasnt filmed in colour and the colourisation was handled by a different company to the other releases resulting in a product that does look like it was originally shot in two colour technicolour

    Sadly this film has not been shown on tv for a long time which is sad as this is a brilliant film that will appeal to anyone

    All the nursery rhyme characters are here in some capacity or other all definately dressed in costume taken straight out of old illustrated childrens books

    I was very pleased to recieve this dvd of the coloured version of what is now called the march of the wooden soldiersi have seen the black and white version of it dozens of times because it is one of my favourite films
