The tube was obviously electrically charged because i could feel my arm hairs stand up when near it

If you want to extend the battery life just turn it off with the button and keep it away from its tube

All you need to do is hold the minmax button down for about 3 seconds when you are displaying either min or max values

When you release the button the display momentarily shows dashes then begins looking for a new min and max
