All i needed to do to replace the worn out hot water faucet knob was to use a screwdriver to unscrew out the original screw that was in the stem then screw in the new screw that came with the lasco replacement faucet

The amazon picture is incorrect because it shows pointy handles and the renu3 has the same handles as the 2 which were what i needed

I did not have leakage issues that others wrote about where they had to add washers to the stem to get them tight

My amateur experience was that the old hardware was difficult to remove so i had to be gentle when getting the old corroded junk out cleaned the inner valve seats and i had to sawzall the middle cover off because someone filled it with plumbers putty during a repair decades ago
