They are not your typical cheap plastic these are made of metal

The rings spin well although they stick together and the inside space is enough to fit two rolledup pieces of 8x11 paper but for some reason the inside space has heart cutouts like two hearts with an arrow through them as you may be able to see in my pictures

Changing the codes went smoothly for me although i would recommend that you get a small screwdriver such as one in glasses repair kits because they are very small

I havent found any ways to tell what the right code is just by sound or feeling but i still wouldnt advise anyone to put any valuables in it
