Although it has not happened yet 2 months into ownership i suspect that too strong a tug on that wire would pull it from the housing and render the entire unit useless

So far so good it is not noisy almost quite fans

Most of the surface is an open grid so no matter where the vents are on your laptop chances are good theyll be sitting over at leas one of the two internal fans
