I did not fasten it to the bead but rather secured it to the wall

This headboard arrived in excellent condition the instructions could have been worded better but were easy to decipher after flipping the page back and forth to see how they wanted the washer and locking clip placement on the screw

However it wont attach to our king sized sleepnumber bed frame

We are using the outside bracket settings and its still not wide enough

With the mattress against it you cant tell that its not attached to the bed frame

This seems to be because the posts are metal and being not nearly as deep as they are wide are not rigid enough
