Pros & Cons
Pros
The pen writes beautifully, very smooth with no skips. It writes smooth once you take off the ring and puncture the ink cartridge. Thispen writes beautifully and doesn't leak.
The colors are outstanding and each year there are special edition colors for collectors. Although i have to say that despite it being a good pen its durability is not the best. Cheery and unique yellow color.
It's very lightweight and comfortable to hold with it's anglular grip. It's also not too flashy and you won't mind scraping and scratching it. At 20 dollars a peice it's much more expensive then your average disposable bic.
The fine nib on this germany pen is a bit larger than most german nibs. I have six safaris in different nib sizes and each one's just as reliable as the other ones.
Cons
After a period of time writing my hand becomes very fatigued. Trick is, something was up with the ink cartridges. Pulled everything apart, cleaned it, and examined the cartridge.
Highlights
Quality
They can use cartridges or ink with the optional converter
It’s a great starter pen and great quality
This came in a plastic baggie along with the extra ink cartridges rather than a lamy box
Packaging/appearance
Not giftable wo packaging id say unless youre giving or gifting it to somebody who doesnt care about the packaging
Competitiveness
The fine nib is a smaller pointier nib with less ink flow which is probably why it feels a little bit scratchy
