Pros & Cons
Pros
This is a worthwhile purchase. We are new to pool ownership and this was perfect kit to make it easy to manage our pool.
Cons
The total alkalinity results from this kit are way off! Alkalinity is about 80 points off, free chlorine is all over the board. The chlorine and calcium hardness are so irratic that they are unusable.
The test kit is not accurate. I guess this is to prevent everyone purchasing from getting their money back on this piece of junk. But the rest of the readings are consistently wrong. Stabilizer is wrong in the other direction.
0. It’s pathetic i had to finally use a color strip to get an accurate reading. It also shows me inaccurate results that i have compared with the digital reading done by one neighborhood pool supply store.
This error indicates the test chamber is scratched or discolored. What really irks me is the fact that i can’t return it because of the minuscule chemicals the kit contains.
